1. Does the school give you any resources for your classroom library? (Money, books, etc.)
No

They can only check out 4 at a time. They can only check out during check out time on Friday, unless there is a special circumstance. They return books to a red box and I shelve them.

Scholastic, Hastings, Amazon, Yard Sales
5. What reading programs does the school provide?
Journeys
6. How do the students check books out from your own personal classroom library?
They just get the book and put it in their book basket.

8. Do the students get both nonfiction and fiction texts? And do they have to read a certain amount of these texts?
They can check out whatever they are interested in.

My checkout system is more laid back, because there is not enough time to accurately keep up with books.

No
13. How do you get and keep students excited/interested in reading?
I talk a lot about books and authors and I do a lot of read aloud towards their interests.
14. Do parents help in any way pertaining to reading in your classroom?
They can read to my class anytime they want as a mystery reader.
